1.
INLET of organic material. 2.
PROCESS CHAMBER. Heating
system: direct electric, hot water or steam together with heat generated by
the microbes will heat up the organic material to reach the optimal effect
at a temperature of 70 degrees C. The
temperature is 70 degrees C during the process 24 - 48 hours. The
agitating device including the special choice of paddles together with the
fan system will secure mixing and aeration in order to obtain an aerobic
process. The
paddles ( reversible ) together with the screening net ( dividing the
process chamber and the second chamber ) prevents not processed material
passing to quickly and securing the process temperature of 70 degrees in at
least 1 hour. In
some models heat exchanger will be used in order to accelerate the
condensing phase and in the same time generate preheated air into the
system with less energy consumption as result. The
process controlling unit including display showing the process temperature
together with a logging system or printer will show and secure the on-going
process. The controlling unit will automatically control the heat ( 2
sensors measuring the heat , 1 in the center of the material ,1 the
temperature of the slings) As
well as the rotation and the fan system. Safety devices are placed on vital
parts of the machine. 3. OUTLET. As the process is continuously on-going the processed material will automatically be discharged converted to a powder. Heating
system
together with microbe-activity guaranties that the process reach the
temperature of at least 70 degrees C in at least 1 hour ( normally 12 - 24
hours ). The
process transforms the organic material to powder within 24 - 48 hours Processcontrolling unit including display showing the processtemp. together with a loggingsystem or printer will show and secure the on-going process.
Decomposition of organic material is not a new phenomena. At the same time life began, a process for decomposition was founded. Generally the organic material can be treated in two ways, either
aerobically by composting (fertilizer) or anaerobically by digestion
(biogas). In order to really confuse, in our opinion, there is another system –
Fermentation through BIO – TEC – a combination of special microbes
which accelerates the metabolism that take place in the initial part of
the decomposition. The selected aerobic thermophilic and mesophilic microbes, even the
microbes capable to decompose the cellulose, will in BIO – TEC have
optimal conditions enable the microbes converting organic material to
powder within 48 hours. BIO – TEC in practice
BIO – TEC optimizes all conditions enable the thermophilic and
mesophilic microbes to work 100%. All microbes in BIO – TEC are selected, strained thermophilic and
mesophilic and works at a temperature up to 80 degrees C. These parameters enable decomposition (fermentation) of organic material
to powder within unbelievable 48 hours. The BIO – TEC system consists of the following: -
Two
or more chambers, due to model, enabling a continuously process. -
Agitating
device including automation. -
Heating
system: direct electric, hot water or steam. -
Fan
system in order to secure aerobic process. -
Preheating
system. -
Process
controlling
unit including display showing process
temp. etc. - Emergency stop and safety devices.
The process controlling unit optimizes
the process to best possible conditions: -
When temperature higher than 80 degrees C or lower than 20 degrees C. -
When water
content higher than 80% or lower than 20% -
When lack of oxygen the microbes are inactive. As the decomposition (fermentation) is a biological activity it can be
effected of several factors: -
Added
volume of organic material. -
Size
of the organic material. -
Mixing
and aeration. -
The
content of nutrients and water in the material.
Running and maintenance
When all process parameters are
trimmed for fermenting the actual, specific material the remaining
necessary efforts for running the process are limited to: -
Bringing the sorted organic material into the machine. -
Push a button for starting. - The
processed material will automatically be discharged by a screw. Adding of microbes is necessary when starting up the first process.
Thereafter in periods of each 3 months or 6 months depending of material
to be processed. New microbes have to be added when constantly processing material near
Ph 5 or Ph 10, when for any reason cleaning the inside of the machine or
temperature have been higher than 80 degrees C in the process. Maintenance will be limited to keep the machine clean on outside,
checking the parameters, lubrication of the chain and gearwheels,
cleaning or changing filters. BIO – TEC is a compact machine needing small space but with a very
high capacity. Capacity 250 – 140.000 liters/week depending of model. When fermenting sorted organic waste from households or restaurants the
end product has a: -
Long-term soil improving and fertilizing effect. -
High content of humus. -
Disease- and damage preventing effect on the vegetation. When fermenting pure organic material from food-industry the end product
might be used as animal food.
